Fun Run 4 Fan Content Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-06 Applies to: anyone creating content about Fun Run 4 or other Dirtybit games using Dirtybit's assets.

Why this policy exists

We love seeing what players make around Fun Run: videos, art, memes, streams. This policy explains what you can do with our stuff without asking, and where the limits are. It exists to protect players from content that pretends to be official, and to keep our brand usable by Creators.

This policy is operated by Dirtybit AS ("we", "us", "Dirtybit").

1. What counts as Dirtybit Assets

"Dirtybit Assets" means our copyrighted material and trademarks, including the Fun Run name and logos, game characters, artwork, music, sound effects, gameplay footage, screenshots, and any creator or press kits we publish.

2. What you can make

You may use Dirtybit Assets to create content that showcases, discusses, celebrates, or explains our games. For example, gameplay videos, streams, fan art, reaction content, guides, wikis, fan pages, and community events.

You may not use Dirtybit Assets to build new products — for example games, apps, or services based on our characters or worlds — without a separate written agreement with us.

3. Monetization

Fan content must be free for your audience to access. You may not charge for access to fan content or lock it behind payments of any kind, unless we've expressly approved it in writing.

Three things are fine without asking:

  • Platform ads and monetization — e.g. YouTube ad revenue or TikTok's creator programs, provided the ads comply with applicable law and platform rules.
  • Donations and tips — provided they are genuinely voluntary and not tied to any perk, feature, or benefit.
  • Sponsorships and brand deals in your content, provided you clearly disclose them, they comply with applicable advertising law, and the sponsor's product doesn't violate Section 5 below.

4. Respect the brand

Don't create the impression that your content is made or endorsed by Dirtybit. This includes copying the look of our official channels, presenting announcements as official news, or naming your channel or page in a way that reads as a Dirtybit-run account rather than a fan account.

5. What your fan content must not contain

Don't use Dirtybit Assets in or alongside content that:

  1. promotes cheats, hacks, exploits, bots, mods, private servers, or any unauthorized software that modifies or interferes with our games;
  2. promotes account selling, trading, buying, or boosting;
  3. promotes or sells unauthorized merchandise;
  4. reveals unreleased or non-public information about our games ("leaks");
  5. involves blockchain products such as NFTs or cryptocurrency;
  6. is sexually explicit or suggestive, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, or illegal;
  7. makes dishonest statements about Dirtybit, our games, or our people.

6. Keep it digital

Physical merchandise (t-shirts, toys, prints, stickers, free or paid) and adaptations such as books or stage productions require a separate written agreement with Dirtybit. This policy covers online fan content only.

7. Our use of fan content

If you post fan content publicly, you permit us to re-share and feature it in our own channels and games, with attribution to you, without compensation. You keep ownership of your content. If you'd rather we not feature something, tell us at https://support.dirtybit.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and we'll take it down from our channels within a reasonable time.

8. Relationship to the Creator Program and other terms

This policy applies to everyone. If you're in the Fun Run 4 Creator Program, its Terms of Service grant you additional rights (e.g. use of official creator assets) and impose additional obligations; where they conflict, the Creator Program Terms govern for Program participants. This policy is the "fan-content guidelines" referenced in the Creator Program Terms. Your use of our games remains subject to the game's Terms of Service.

9. Enforcement and changes

The permission in this policy is a limited, revocable license. We may withdraw it for specific content or creators at any time, particularly for violations. We aim to contact creators about problems before acting, but we're not obligated to give warnings. We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.
